Mr. Alabi, Samuel Eshiovazeh is indigene of Enwan in Akoko-Edo Local government Area Edo State Nigeria.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) and master of science degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from the University of Benin in 2003 and 2015 respectively.
He joined the services of PEEMADI in August 2008 as a programme Analyst grade 1 in Planning and Policy Analysis Department before the organogram was restructured. He is the current head of Science Division of the Research and Development department as a Chief Programme Analyst. His Area of Interest are: Software Engineering, Data Structure and Data Processing. He also holds a Diploma in Data Processing from the University of Benin.
Achievements and Contributions in the institute: He was the head of the group that developed a computer training manual for in-house training of PEEMADI staff and other personal academic brain-storming of some unit members in the area of project write-ups.
He currently has two conference papers; one national and the other international, to his credit.
Mr. Alabi is happily married with children.
ABOUT SCIENCE DIVISION
Science Division is an arm of Research and Development Department (R&D). It is sub-divided into three units: Research and development Unit, ICT Unit and the Analytical Services Unit.
It has a staff strength of seven (7) members which are working tirelessly to achieve the goals of the department in particular and the institute in general. The division is saddled with the responsibilities of making preparations and setting up of computer systems and other necessary facilities for monthly paper presentations and other institutional gatherings, when the need arises. Also, the division is in charge of installation of computer systems and science hardware for production and support services for the R&D department and all other departments.
OBJECTIVES OF THE DIVISION
To innovatively contribute to the body of knowledge in research and development in PEEMADI to sustain the power industry in Nigeria.
To set an appropriate internal intellectual development and capacity building targets to improve on service delivery of staff with the unit and the department.
To work in agreement with the Engineering Division of the R&D department for the overall achievement of the corporate goal.
To initiate appropriate projects aimed at assisting the institute to meet its objectives.
Putting in place appropriate measures to work towards achieving the goals set, carrying along all members of staff in the department.
PAST PROJECTS AND UP-COMING ONES.
It carried out research on transformer oil which is extracted from Jatropha seeds which is used as a coolant (local substitute for transformer oil)
