Engr. Yisah Yakubu Adajah MNSE

Engr. Yisah Yakubu Adajah, the Ag. MD/CE is an indigene of Okene in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State. He was born on the 15th September, 1965. He had his secondary career in Okene Secondary School, Okene, from 1979 to 1984. He proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State where he obtained a bachelor’s degree (B.Eng.) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from 1986 to 1990. He later attended Nigerian Turkish Nile University, Abuja, Nigeria where he bagged a master’s certificate (M.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems Options) in 2016. He is currently a doctoral (PhD) student in the same department and option with the latter university.

Engr. Adajah has been with the institute From 2005 to date as a researcher. He has managed staff at various levels: Head of Manufacturing Services, Head of Research & Development, Project Coordinator, research coordinator  etc. he has participated in several training both within and outside the country which include: Training workshop on small hydropower technology in Hangzhou, china, Mechatronics Training in Flexible manufacturing system by FESTO at NASENI in Abuja Nigeria, Advanced manufacturing technology at NASENI in Abuja, Mechatronics and its applications to enhance industrial productivity  by FESTO at NASENI in Abuja, Nigeria, Training on Digital Coiling Machine at Electronic Development Institute, ELDI, AKWA, Workshop on Electrical Power Equipment by Himotte System Engineering Incorporation, USA at NASENI in Abuja, Nigeria, Capacity Building for Sustainable Industrial Development by Education Trust Fund, Abuja held at Minna, Nigeria, Microsoft office training at NASENI in Abuja, Nigeria, Performance Enhancement Training Workshop by MESSRS MUSTAO (NIG) LTD at NASENI, Abuja Nigeria, Sustainable Operation/Maintenance of Transformer, Switchgears and Protection Relay System by NSE in Lagos Nigeria, Grounding and Earthing of Electrical Equipment Procedure, Techniques and Maintenance by NSE in Lagos, Nigeria, Research Development and Innovation Management by NACETEM at OAU, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He has attended conferences and published papers in both National and international journals. He hold four patent rights.

Engr. Adajah has a versatile industrial and research experience having worked previously at  Ajaokuta Steel Company (ASCO) limited, Ajaokuta, Kogi State, from 1992 to 2005 where he rose to the position of an Operations Manager. While with ASCO, he was Electrical Main Control Board Operator in charge of operation and control of the electrical switchgears of the steel thermal power plant. He was also involved in the Repair and maintenance of electrical switchgears i.e Electric Motors, Transformers, Isolator, Reactors, and Bus Bars etc. He has a number of commendations to his credit from both employers.

He has competency in ICT and good communication skill with excellent problem solving and analytical skills. A good team player and his leadership acumen is exceptionally outstanding..

Engr. Adajah is a Registered Engineer with COREN (Nig.) and corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

His research interests include and not limited to: renewable energy, automation and control, power equipment development and electric power (generation, transmission and distribution). He single handedly design and construct three (3) phase 415v/220v step down transformer for powering computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines at NASENI Hq and her Institutes.

Engr.Adajah is happily married with Children.
