PROF. ABUBAKAR SANI SAMBO FAS.FNAE, FNSE, OON
CHAIRMAN
Prof Sambo was born in Zaria City on 31st July, 1955. He obtained a first Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1979 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Sussex,
UK, in1983.
Prof Sani Sambo is the Chairman of the Nigerian Member Committee of the World Energy Council (WEC).
Prof. Sambo was the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (2005-2012) and served as the Vice-Chancellor of
Abubakar Tafawa Belawa University from 1995 to 2004. In July 2011, Prof. Sambo became the Special Adviser to the President on
Energy and has worked extensively on renewable energy utilization and energy planning.
He has published more than 206 articles in journals, conference proceedings, and technical reports. Prof. Sambo was the Nigerian
Representative at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) from 2009 to 2012.
He is a fellow of 10 professional! associations including Nigerian Academy of Science, Nigerian Academy of Engineering, and the
Nigerian Society of Engineers. He is the recipient of two national honours: the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) and the
Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
ENGR ADAMU ODE DOMA FNSE
MEMBER
Engr Ode Doma was born in Doma, Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on 5th May, 1954.
He attended Doma Central Primary School, Doma; College of Electronics, Jos; and Kaduna Polytechnic Kaduna.
He also attended University of Bradford, UK, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi where he obtained
Diploma in Power Applications, Post-graduate Diploma Electrical Electronics and Master of Business Administration
(Technology),respectively.
Engr. Doma worked as Higher Technical Officer (Elect) with the defunct Ministry of Housing and Environment and later the Ministry
of Works, Housing and Transport in the former Plateau State (now in the present Nasarawa State) from 1981-2014 where he retired as
a Director, Electrical Engineering Department. His meritorious service earned him the Nasarawa State Merit Award for Hardwork
Performance in June 2005.
Engr. Adamu is a member of the Institute of Electrical Incorporated Engineers (IEIE), UK; the Engineering Council, UK; the Nigerian
Society of Engineers (MNSE); Council for the Regulation of
Engineering in Nigeria (COREN); and he is a member, Engineering Regulation Monitoring (ERM), Nasarawa State Inspectorate Zone,
Lafia.
He is married with children.
ENGR. PROF. MICHAEL CHUKWUDI NDINECHI

Engr Prof. Michael Chukwudi Ndinechi is currently the Dean of the School of Electrical Systems
Engineering Technology (SESET), Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
He served as the Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Centre of the
same University for five years from 2016 to 2021.
He has served as Head of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Associate Dean of the
School of Engineering and Engineering Technology in the same University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in
Computer and Communications Engineering in 2008 and served as Director/CEO of the Electronics
Development Institute, ELDI, Awka, an Institute of NASENI, from 2010 to 2014.
Prof. Ndinechi is a registered engineer with COREN, member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and
Nigerian Institute of Management.
Prof. Ndinechi has received many awards which include Federal Government of Nigeria
Postgraduate Scholarship Award 1990, World Bank/National Universities Commission (Nigeria)
Research Fellowship Award, 1994, Africa Educational Trust Award, London, 1995, National Award for
Industrial and Business Development (NAIBD), Distinguished Leadership in National Development Gold
Award (D'LINGA 2012)
ENGR. (MRS.) CHRISTIANAH IJAGBEMI
MEMBER
Engr. Christianah ljagbemi holds a professorial chair at the Department of Mechanical
Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). She won many awards for her
outstanding contributions to research in Clean Energy and Environment. Her expertise is
Channeled to engineering design approach and process optimization to providing solutions to
challenges of climate change.
In 2007, she won the fellowship award of the Schlumberger Faculty for the Future (FFTF)
program and has been a visiting scholar to many universities across the globe.
Christianah ljagbemi is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), a licensed Engineer
by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and was the first female
and immediate past Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Akure branch, pioneer
Chairman of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) in Ondo
state, and first female and former Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers
in Ondo state. Christianah Ijagbemi is a 2021 Co-opted Council Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
