Power Equipment and Electrical Machinery Development Institute (PEEMADI)-Okene, established in 2004, is one of the nine (9) development institutes of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), an agency under The Presidency. The institute was established to be centre of excellence in the design, production and repairs of power equipment and electrical machines required to make Nigeria self-sufficient in power transmission and distribution.
